For most of Amazon’s Big Spring Sale, Sony was the star of headphone deals.
Basically every single model, from the new XM6 headphones and earbuds, to the months-old LinkBuds Clip received major savings. But for March 31, the last day of Amazon’s Spring Sale, nearly every single pair of headphones is back up to their list price — except one major one.
The Sony WH-1000XM5 headphones are down to a record-low price of $243. The last-gen flagship earbuds are still a great buy, especially at this price point (which we’ll get into more below). The only major catch? The deal is a limited-time offer through the end of the sale. Come April 1, the savings will be gone. Learn more about the savings, along with the one other Sony deal left standing, below.
Note: Deals marked with a strikethrough are no longer available at the time of writing.

Why we like it
Yes, the Sony WH-1000XM5s are older, but the Spring Sale has been a great time to grab last-gen tech for a fraction of the price, and these are no exception, dropping to a record-low price of $243. Plus, these headphones hardly show their age.
Mashable Deals
When our headphones reviewer, Bethany Allard, tested the new XM6 headphones directly against the XM5 headphones, she found that while the newer headphones performed slightly better, there wasn’t a huge gulf of difference. Certainly not one that would justify the current $226.99 price difference between the two headphones (yes, you can almost get two pairs of XM5 headphones for the price of one pair of XM6 headphones).
There are two major catches to opting for the XM5 headphones. One, their ear cups don’t fold in, which makes them slightly bulkier and less ideal for travel. Two, you have to make your decision soon — like today. This markdown is only live through March 31.
